NANS commemorates Christian faithfuls, urge them to emulate the teaching of Christ.

The Vice President of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) External Affairs, Comrd. Mohammed A. Tenimu, Justice (GCNS) took the opportunity to commemorate Christmas with Christian faithfuls. In his address, he urged them to emulate the character and teachings of Jesus Christ.

The Vice President emphasized the importance of Christmas as a celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ, stating that it serves as a reminder of the selfless love, compassion, and humility that Jesus embodied throughout his life. He urged Christian faithfuls to reflect on these qualities and strive to emulate them in their own lives.

The VP further stressed the need for unity and peaceful coexistence among different religious and ethnic groups in Nigeria. He encouraged Christians to use the occasion of Christmas to reach out to people of other faiths, promoting tolerance, understanding, and love for one another.

Additionally, he urged Christian students and youth to actively engage in acts of service, just as Jesus did, by helping the less privileged and marginalized members of society. He emphasized that this was the true essence of Christmas and urged students to use their platform and influence to make a positive impact in their communities.

The vice president concluded his address by extending his warmest wishes to all Christian faithfuls, urging them to continue living their lives in accordance with the teachings of Jesus Christ. He expressed his hope that the spirit of love, peace, and unity that Christmas brings would prevail in Nigeria and beyond.
